Miposh Farms Ltd

Company Profile & History

Miposh Farms Ltd is currently the largest single plantain plantation in Nigeria, boasting well over 40,000 plantain plants spread across more than 40 hectares of land in Kuje, Abuja.

The farm includes an integrated processing facility that produces plantain flour and plantain chips, adding significant value to its agricultural output. In addition to plantains, Miposh Farms diversifies its production with a mix of vegetables—including bell peppers, cucumber, and cabbage—as well as staple crops like cassava, yam, pineapple, and coconut.

Foundation & Vision
Miposh Farms Ltd began as a entrepreneur-led farm—focused on meeting local % export demand for fresh produce.

Expansion & Scale-up
Over time, the farm expanded dramatically, particularly in plantain cultivation, positioning itself as Nigeria’s largest single-site plantain enterprise. The acquisition and development of over 40 hectares in Kuje, Abuja, enabled this scale.

Value Addition & Processing
Recognizing the value in processing, the company established its plantain flour and chip processing plant, enabling it to offer processed goods with longer shelf life and higher market value.

Diversification of Crops
To ensure resilience and meet wider market demand, Miposh Farms diversified into vegetables (bell peppers, cucumbers, cabbage) and staple crops (cassava, yam, pineapple, coconut), creating a balanced and multi-product farming portfolio.
